Creating Your Dotloop Account
Overview
Dotloop is the Transaction Management and ESignature system that RG LPT uses to manage, track, and submit files to the LPT Compliance team. Every RG LPT agent is given a free Dotloop profile to use.
Please Note: RG LPT agents do not have to to utilize Dotloop. You do have the option to simply submit all transaction paperwork to Listings@RealtyGroupMN.com (for Listings) or Transactions@realtygroupmn.com (for buyer side files and offer paperwork).
RG LPT will then perform the following actions on your behalf:
- Create a transaction within Dotloop
- Upload and split documents if needed
- Submit all documents for review to the LPT Compliance Department
- Communicate any items needed and the status of the transaction to the agent
If you wish to utilize Dotloop for transaction management, you are free to do so and do not have to submit files to any RG LPT departments.
If you choose to use Dotloop and manage your own transaction, you are solely responsible for the following:
- Creating the transaction within Dotloop
- Uploading and splitting documents if needed
- Submitting all required documents for review to the LPT Compliance Department
- Communicating with LPT when any items are needed and submitting them
Things to Note:
All transactions should be created inside of Dotloop and submitted for review as soon as you have paperwork completed. This is a DOC rule. There are certain documents that cannot be completed right away. A good rule of thumb is just always submit what you have completed, and submit the other documents as they come in and are complete
LPT does not audit files until 10-15 days before closing. Either RG LPT File Auditing or the LPT Compliance will email you when your file has been audited and will let you know what you are missing or if your file has been approved.
Account Set Up
In order to get started with Dotloop, you will first need to log into your LPT Connect account and select Dotloop as your Transaction Management program.
To do this, navigate to the "User Preferences" tile as shown below.
Use the first tab to select Dotloop as your Esignature/Transaction Management system as shown below and follow the prompts. You can also use this section to select your CRM of choice. Visit the "Lofty Account Set Up" help article to learn more on that!
Within the next 24 hours business hours you will receive your Dotloop login information
Setting up Your Profile
Once you have logged into Dotloop, you will want to learn how to navigate your profiles. Be default, Dotloop gives you a personal profile, and a "team" profile. You will always want to create and submit loops inside of your team profile. Your team profile will be labeled with your name, the state you work in, and "realty group." See example below. Make this profile your "default profile" when Dotloop prompts you as part of your account set up
If you do not use the team profile, RG LPT will not be able to see or help manage and track your file
You will know you are in the correct team profile when your dashboard has your name, the state you work in, and "Realty Group" in the top left hand corner, as shown below
